History:
The Cable Piano Company was established in 1881. The company went through several transitions. In the 1880s Cable was affiliated with the Wolfinger Organ Company, also known as the Western Cottage Organ Company and the Chicago Cottage Organ Company. The company was also purchased by the Aeolian Piano Company. By the turn of the century, the company had merged with Fayette and Hobart Cable.
