History:

The J. & C. Fischer Piano Company was founded by Joseph Fischer in 1840. Fischer Piano Company was at one time, a major manufacturer, producing up to 5000 pianos per year (circa 1900). The company first went by the name R. & W. Nunns & Clark, then Nunns & Fischer. The company was eventually aquired by the American Piano Company.
